77 pre-proposals submitted
In response to the call for NRP 76, the Swiss National Science Foundation has received 77 pre-proposals.
The call for NRP 76 "Welfare and Coercion" has led to the submission of 77 pre-proposals requesting a total funding amount of approximately CHF 40 million. The NRP has a budget of CHF 15.5 million at its disposal to fund research projects during the five-year research phase.
Evaluation of the pre-proposals will be completed by October 2017. Subsequently, the SNSF will invite the researchers whose pre-proposals were shortlisted to submit a full research proposal.
Persons who were affected by compulsory social measures are invited to assess the relevance of the different subject areas
On 9 August 2017, an event will be held at the Swiss National Science Foundation (Wildhainweg 3, Bern) explicitly and exclusively for persons affected by compulsory social measures. The event will provide them with an opportunity to assess the relevance of the submitted themes from their own perspective and point out any topics that may have been neglected. The rules and provisions of the SNSF apply to the event: personal data and the titles of project outlines will not be disclosed. Interested persons can register for the event at:
